About the product
​bun THERMOMAX is an extreme temperature recorder -200°C to +850°C (-325°F to +350°F) and cloud-based alarm system with an external sensor. Temperature measurement will be less accurate in sensors with wider temperature range so to achieve the highest accuracy, a narrower temperature range is recommended.
It comes with a Y Class PT1000 sensor in a stainless-steel pocket with a 1.5 metre (5 ft.) length cable. The cable includes 2 silver coated wires with PTFE cover and fiberglass sleeving. It can drive 2,3,4 wire RTD sensors. PT type, range and accuracy (Class Y [1/3 B], Class A, Class B) can vary based on order and calibration.
Bun THERMOMAX is powered by 2 replaceable AA batteries for up to 6 years* and connects directly to Wi-Fi. An external power pack is also available. This enables more frequent data uploads and preserves the battery as a backup only.
All setting parameters such as – measurement intervals, upload intervals, minimum, and maximum allowed temperature thresholds – can be set through a web-based application on any platform and adjusted remotely.
Bun THERMOMAX sends out email and text message alarms as soon as the thresholds are exceeded or fall below those pre-set, allowing you to take action.
The advantage of automatically logging frequent data (every hour to once per week, or on demand) is the ability to access historical records including graphs and periodical reports for reporting and be able to review without the manual labour.
Both hardware and software installation are simple and do not require any specific tools, professional installers, or applications. See further information on features included in all bun family products.
Note: upload temperature range is the ambient condition required for the device to stay fully operational. These operations include being able to connect and sync with the cloud and send out alarms. However, the device can continue recording the data in its internal memory while in temperature measurement range.
